2000 Sailing Ups & Downs – Puget Sound

This was the last day of a week long sailing class (summer 2000), and it was also the coldest day. The water temp here is 42º F - Yes, it is very cold! Some of the boats are a modified version of the classic model, in which they have built in wooden air tanks to float better. Most of the little kids took these out because once again they float better. This camp was put on by the Wooden Boat Foundation, which is in Port Townsend, Washington.
